I don't know if you're in one of these popular "city garage sale" groups on Facebook where you post pictures of things you want to get rid of in your town, but I am. Maybe in cheap, which I call thrifty because that sounds much better, but I've found some really great deals on there lately.. and seen some crazy things. I just joined the one for our new town and it's been interesting.
Saw a lady get in a huge cussing argument over a Wii she wanted to buy and someone beat her to it. Well she messaged the seller privately before the person who ended up getting it commented on the picture. Um in the "rules" it says to comment on the picture.
Last week this lady asked me to hold a pair of maternity jeans for a few days then she blows me off the first day set to meet. Yesterday she finally met me but when I told her they were $10 she said she only brought $5 because that's what she thought they were worth. Yeah except the part in my description where I said I originally paid $55 for them the week before I had Teale and they were worn twice. They have jewels on the pockets, they're like the elite of maternity pants so no I'm sorry but $10 is what I asked and I will not take less so I told her that and left. Re-listed while in town at dinner and sold them within 25 minutes, met the lady and got $10. Thank you very much.
Oh and once in my old town a lady offered me $12 for a pair of Silver jeans that literally still had the $89 price tag on them. Uh no thank you. I didn't even reply to her comment. $25 was what I asked for them and that's a steal!
I did buy baby girl a little piano thing for $5 that I saw on Amazon for $20-30. She can't play with it right now, maybe in a few months, but I couldn't pass up the deal.

Some of the things I've seen people trying to sell in these groups..
Decor that's missing things like letters to words, corners chipped off, etc. Okay maybe someone would buy for $1, but for $15 no thank you I'll go to Ross and get a perfect condition one for $3.99.
A lady saying she'd trade her food benefits which I'm assuming was food stamps for a pair of Nike Shox. Really?!!! Isn't that illegal?
Expired baby food.. For real!
And the best one yet.. Panties. Yes, I said panties. They were Victorias Secret and description said brand new, BUT they had no tags and I'm sorry I'm just not okay with buying undies at a garage sale or an online garage sale. Ew!
Are you in a garage sale type group for your town? Found any great deals? Tell me stories about your experiences buying things in person that you found online.

People sell the craziest stuff on those pages!!
This one lady was trying to sell an half empty box of kitty litter for $10!!!
omg! PANTIES! Yea, they can keep their bloomers to themselves. That's just gross! Actually, I have NEVER seen a group like this on Facebook. Hmm. I need to look this up for our area. But, what a neat idea. We just have Craigs List and Ebay.
Happy Friday Pretty Lady! ♥
I went into a thrift store the other day and they had an entire panty section. Sooo icky.
Some of these are SO interesting!!! There was a pretty heated convo on our town one a while back...about people selling baby formula they got through the WIC program!
Haha! Panties - really? And the food benefits.... come on. At least you are finding some good deals for yourself and sticking to your guns!
Bahaha.I am in some for our town...I haven't seen anything quite like you have posted - Those are hilarious, people these days I tell ya, cah-razy!
Some people are ridiculous. If you can't afford to pay five more dollars then you probably shouldn't be trying to buy something, ya know? And the panties. That is just nasty. I sold a pair of coach shoes on Lubbock's garage sale Facebook and it went smoothly thank god and I was able to get $50 for them when I paid a $100 so pretty good.
