ANYTHING

A friend posted this this on Facebook earlier this week and made me think "why haven't I done this on my blog?!" so ask me anything. Here is your chance, ask me all the things you've wondered about me or want to know and I'll answer the questions next week on Wednesday.

Here are some of the most common questions I get asked on my blog and in real life:

How did you & D meet?

Through a mutual friend who was very persistent that I meet him. I almost threw up multiple times on the 8 hour drive to meet him. Yes, 8 hours, I know I'm crazy. I'll write a post on it soon.

How did y'all maintain a long distance relationship?

It was really hard being 8 hours from each other at first. I would drive up to see him every other weekend. We texted throughout the day, shared pictures, and talked for hours every night. I think knowing that it wasn't going to be forever helped too. We lived on countdowns for a year and a half now. Then he moved to Snyder which was only 3 hours away and that was a lot better. I went up there almost every weekend to see him.

How did you come up with Teale's name?

I originally wanted to name her Sawyer Grace and he wanted to name her Macee Kay. I thought Macee was way too common, pretty, but common. He thought Sawyer wasn't cute at all. We had a few days where we would text different names back and forth, but that was getting old. I decided to start sending him all kinds of names in hopes he'd give up and decide on Sawyer but that back fired on me! I just knew hed hate the name Teal, but he loved it. We decided that with her middle name Teal didn't look right so we googled it and found all different spellings so we decided on Teale.

ps; If we ever have another baby I'm dead set on naming it Sawyer Grace if it's a girl so no stealing!

How did you make the wrap you wear her in?

I did a tutorial type post somewhere on here. It's really easy, just get 5 yards of the jersey knit fabric and cut it half length wise. It'll make 2 wraps for approximately $35 and then YouTube videos can show you how to wrap it. It's just like the Moby wrap.

Have you always lived on a ranch?
He has lived on several ranches in the past 12 years, but I've lived on 2 with him now but I grew up in a small town outside of Ft Worth.

How did you adjust to living in the middle of nowhere?

I still haven't quite adjusted. We live 1 hour away from the nearest town with a mall, Hobby Lobby, Starbucks, Walmart, Target, and all the other stores I love to shop at. I try to plan one day every 2 weeks to go to the bigger town and that is usually a full day trip between driving time and going everywhere I want to go. Oh and a long 'to do' list.

What do you want to do as a Nurse when you graduate?

I have no idea! I wanted to specialize in wound care, but now after doing all my rotations in clinicals.. I'm not sure anymore. I definitely still have wound care on my list but I also am very interested in getting my bachelors and becoming a Neonatal Nurse after my experience with Teale and basically living in the NICU for 7 weeks. I feel like I could help families and really relate to them.

Very very neat post. I love her name.
We do not even want to talk about names and how many times we've gone back and forth to get to Davenport. Michael like "lame" names...sad but true story! And, that long distance is no fun. Did if for a year and half and FINALLY Michael chose to move in with me. I think you should be a NICU nurse. You have the passion for it, you've lived it and you would be an inspiration to so many families!!!! Happy Wednesday!
